Learning for the future
FABTEC was developed by Annie and Murray initially to deal with the mountain of textiles they'd collected in the Textile Rescue - Uniform Take Back Program in Anne's small business Sustainable Schoolwear.
They quickly had to find solutions for 83tonnes of non-useable school and business uniforms.
So they bought a pizza oven and started 'cooking' in the back yard -experimenting with a tonne of smelly uniforms.
In six months they got a bigger pizza oven.
